This holiday season, your gift strengthens the foundation of stability for adults with developmental disabilities who reside in our homes.

When you give, you’re not just helping maintain a home—you are investing in support, sustainability, and long-term stability for every resident we serve.

At the core of each Community Homes household are the shared spaces where residents and providers come together to eat, play, and share connections. In these spaces, residents prepare their breakfast and lunch in the resident kitchenettes and socialize with housemates while watching a movie or enjoying a board game in the common living space. In the provider's kitchen, family-style dinners are prepared for the household. In homes occupied by up to five residents, a live-in provider and--in some households--the provider's family, the resulting wear and tear can be substantial. Your contribution ensures that Community Homes can continue providing homes where adults with developmental disabilities can thrive. Your generosity helps ensure that every Community Homes house continues to be a place where residents feel stable, connected, and supported—today and for many years to come.

Comfortable, functional, built to last

Regular maintenance isn’t just about repairs—it’s about stability and sustainability. Many Community Homes residents relay on daily routines to manage their self-care and reduce anxiety. By proactively upgrading our homes, we prevent crises, support our providers, and ensure residents always have comfortable, functional, and lasting homes in which to thrive. Your generosity helps us plan ahead so that our homes can serve generations to come.

Renovations completed this year

This year, we completed a large revitalization project on one of original homes. After years of intensive use, the space needed care and renewal. In the provider's kitchen, we replaced worn cabinets, installed new appliances and flooring, and repaired a leaking window. The renovated kitchen provides an organized, efficient space where the provider can prepare meals for the residents. At the same house a resident bathroom was remodeled, and flooring in common spaces was replaced, ensuring that residents enjoy comfort and safety in their home.

With your support, we can make sure our homes remain vibrant places where residents thrive for years to come. Your gift to the invests in resident stability and belonging and ensures every resident can enjoy a home that is comfortable, functional and built to last. Community Homes is looking forward to additional upgrades to resident kitchen areas in a couple houses. These improvements will include replacing aging dishwashers, installing new countertops and sinks, and replacing worn flooring in common areas. Our resident bathrooms are some of the most heavily used areas of the homes, and we are planning on completing some needed bathroom updates, including providing more accessible cabinets.
